Over the past week or so three of my current favorite songs dropped music videos none of which disappoint, actually it just made me like the songs more than I originally did
First I’m going to talk about Young Thug mostly because his video is my favorite out of the three and because of a minor obsession. Anyway, Young Thug’s video for his song “Wyclef Jean” is beyond hilarious to watch. The video is less hip hop clichés and more of a documentary about the actual filming of the video and the directors mention that Thugger never even showed up to be filmed in the video and that while both had a hand in creating the video, never actually met.
My favorite part comes at the end of the video which has the director stating across the screen that none of this video really mattered and that as an audience we were still watching even though the music had stopped. Genius.

What’s better than a 2 Chainz song with Gucci and Quavo? A video. 2 Chainz’s video for “Good Drank” is filmed in black and white, minus the purple drank in bottles, set during the prohibition era when liquor sales were all handled under the table. Dressed to match the time era, 2 Chainz, Gucci, and Quavo all kill this song with a video to match.
Lastly, Post Malone’s “Congratulations” video also featuring Quavo. The video features slow mo celebratory shots of both Malone by himself and with other friends, mixing a hard beat and certain shots slowed or in reverse makes for an interesting juxtaposition. Quavo has a notable presence as well offering up a full verse to wrap up the song.
